Each time I visited Okinawa, I would catch glimpses of this Chinese-style garden from the road—and this time, I finally stepped inside.
Located in central Naha, Fukushuen Garden was built in 1992 to mark the 10th anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Naha and Fuzhou, China. With its traditional architecture, ponds, and arched bridges, the garden offers a peaceful escape in the heart of the city.
Visitors strolled through the space with quiet curiosity, each enjoying the calm in their own way. These moments were captured with my GR III. ■
