Street Snap #15 Journey to Naha (Okinawa vol.1)

A trip to Okinawa begins at the airport. The moments of takeoff and landing help shape the mood of the journey. The view from the airplane window already feels like part of the destination.

This Okinawa series, presented in seven parts, captures scenes photographed between Naha and Koza under the clear skies before the rainy season. It also captures a sense of atmosphere that feels distinct from Tokyo.

Shot with the GR III, these color images capture the everyday scenes and atmosphere of Okinawa’s streets. The GR III’s vivid, contrast-rich color profile pairs well with the light of Okinawa. ■
