These are street snapshots I regularly take around Shibuya Station. The area in front of the station, in particular, is in the midst of a large-scale redevelopment and continues to change its appearance day by day. Temporary barriers, scaffolding, cranes, and constantly shifting pedestrian routes. A sense of the extraordinary, belonging to a city still in the process of becoming, lingers in this place, different from that of a completed urban landscape.
Shibuya has always been a place where chaos and vitality coexist, but the redevelopment site seems to amplify that character even further.
For someone who lives in Shibuya, photographing this scenery on a regular basis does not feel like a special act, but rather a natural extension of documenting everyday life. It is not only the finished city that matters, but also the time that exists along the way. (Though it might also be said that a city like Shibuya is never truly “complete.”)
This time, I used the “Vivid” image control on the GR IV. I wanted to capture the colorful atmosphere of Shibuya using the distinctive color rendering of this camera. I hope to continue recording the “present moment” of Shibuya Station as it keeps changing. ■

定期的に撮影を続けている、渋谷駅周辺のストリートスナップ。とりわけ渋谷駅前の風景は、大規模な再開発の真っただ中にあり、日々その姿を変えている。仮囲いや足場、クレーン、そして絶えず更新される動線。完成された都市とは異なる、未完成の街が持つ非日常性が、この場所には漂っている。
渋谷は、もともと混沌と活気が共存する場所だが、再開発の現場ではその性格がさらに強調されているように感じられる。 渋谷に住む自分にとって、この風景を定期的に撮影することは特別な行為というよりも、ごく自然な記録の延長に近い。完成した街の姿だけでなく、その途中にある時間も重要だと感じているからだ。（もっとも、渋谷という街に「完成」はないともいえるが）
今回は、GR IVの「ビビッド」のイメージコントロールを使用した。渋谷の街にあふれる色彩を、このカメラの発色で写し取ることを試みている。変わり続ける渋谷駅前の「今」を、これからも記録していきたい。（→noteで詳細を読む）■
