The day after the GR IV arrived, I went out to shoot around Shinjuku Station, even before fine-tuning the settings. This became the very first series of photographs with the new camera, its debut. I chose Shinjuku because Street Snap #1 on this portfolio also began there.
Both Shinjuku and Shibuya Stations are in the midst of what is described as once-in-a-century construction projects. The scenery changes day by day, and what I see now will never appear the same again. That is why I feel it is worth recording.
Although the weather was unfortunately cloudy, it was enough to test the lightness and responsiveness of the new GR IV. From here, I look forward to refining the settings and capturing the best shots. ■
