Unlike the quiet moments of hanami found in parks, Meguro River offers a livelier, fast-moving experience.
The narrow riverside path is lined with blooming cherry trees, drawing crowds that leave little room to pause. Here, hanami means walking — a steady flow of people enjoying the blossoms as they move through the city. It’s less about reflection, more about the energy: the mix of sakura, lanterns, and the buzz of voices and camera shutters.
Captured with the GR III, these images trace the vivid blend of spring and city life along the Meguro River. ■
