I captured Shibuya while walking through the city on a rainy night. Holding an umbrella made it hard to keep the composition steady, and some shots were blurred. But that instability seemed to capture the raw atmosphere of the streets more truthfully.
On Saturday night, Shibuya was overflowing with people, including many visitors from abroad. Neon lights reflected on the wet pavement, and the rhythm of umbrellas moving through the crowd gave the city a distinctive vibrancy.
I tried to make use of the GR IV’s agility to capture moments of light, shadow, and motion.
Amid the heat and noise of the night, I wanted to record the pulse of Shibuya as it was. ■
雨の夜の渋谷を歩きながら撮影した。 傘を持ちながらの撮影は、構図もずれ、手ぶれも起きる。けれど、その不安定さこそが、街の生々しさをそのまま写し取ってくれる気がした。
土曜日の渋谷は人で溢れ、外国人観光客の姿も多い。 濡れた地面に反射するネオンの光、行き交う人々の傘のリズム。そのすべてが、雨の渋谷に独特の表情を与えていた。
GR IVの機動性を活かし、光と影、そして人の動きを瞬間的に捉えることを意識した。 熱気と喧騒が交錯する夜の渋谷。その空気を記録した。(→noteで詳細を読む)■
