The RICOH GR IV will be released on September 12, 2025. As it is a highly sought-after model, in-store sales are limited to a lottery held exclusively at GR SPACE TOKYO. To enter the lottery, I visited the gallery in Harajuku.
At the same time, the venue was hosting an exhibition of works by Daido Moriyama shot with the GR IV, making it a perfect occasion. It was my first visit, and I found the gallery, quietly located in an alley of Harajuku’s bustling district, to be a serene and comfortable place.
Both the gallery and its surroundings were vibrant and urban, an ideal setting to shoot with the GR III. I love using the GR III, but I hope to win the GR IV lottery and enjoy street photography with a new companion. ■
RICOH GR IVが2025年9月12日に発売されます。人気機種のため店頭での販売は抽選となり、GR SPACE TOKYOでのみ受付が行われていました。その抽選にエントリーするため、原宿にあるGR SPACE TOKYOを訪れました。
ちょうどその会場では、森山大道さんがGR IVで撮影した作品の展覧会も開かれており、絶好のタイミングでした。初めて足を運びましたが、原宿の繁華街の路地に静かに佇むギャラリーは落ち着いた空気で、とても心地よい場所でした。
ギャラリーやその周辺の街並みは、都会的で活気があり、GR IIIで撮影するのにぴったりでした。GR IIIも気に入っていますが、GR IVの抽選に当選し、新しいカメラでストリートスナップを楽しめることを願っています。■
