Street Snap #12 Scenes from Shinjuku

Shinjuku is in the midst of major redevelopment, with the station itself feeling more like a construction site than a transit hub. The surrounding area changes day by day, and I feel a growing desire to keep documenting its transformation over time.

This series was shot while walking from the busy streets around Shinjuku Station toward the quieter office district of Nishi-Shinjuku. There, the pace slows, and a more subdued atmosphere takes hold.

Captured with the GR III, these photos reflect the contrasts of an ever-changing city—restless and dynamic in one moment, then still and contemplative the next.
